I had some photography done today of Emory and Caroline. I can't wait to see the pictures, bummer, they said two weeks to see the proofs! I can't wait already. They both did great. Caroline woke up (on her own) for the session so we had some great eyes open shots. Emory was hamming it up behind the camera. That shyness is starting to fade away.

Caroline had a peds appointment yesterday. She's two weeks and weighs 8.8 pounds already. Her nickname is "barracuda". The skinny lil' 7 pounder is filling out! She's doing great. She's so easy...during the day... nighttime, well, we're working on that. She's "colicky" or "fussy" whatever you want to call it for a good part of the night. Oh well. One of the good things about being a parent for the second time is that you know that whatever is happening is going to end. That thought is helping me keep some sanity.

We dropped Emory's nap! She's now going to bed at a more appropriate 3 year old bedtime- 7pm  and sleeps until 7:00am. It has made such a difference for her and for Bill and I. Love it!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Hope you all had a great St. Patty's Day! Emory got all dressed up in her shamrock shirt (given to her by GiGi) and wore her "pot o' gold" shoes to match! She looked so adorable going to school this morning. Apparently, leprechauns visited her school today and left green footprints and green glitter everywhere. She was so excited about the whole thing. She now thinks that leprechauns come and make messes! Emory also got a special treat and got to go to Grammy's house this afternoon! Thanks Grammy! Here's a picture of our little leprechaun!

She's Here!

Caroline Quinn was born on Sunday, March 7th at 1:47am. She is such a doll. We brought her home from the hospital the same day at 6:00pm. It was a whirlwind visit to the hospital, but with Bill being a doctor and my mom (GiGi) being a nurse, I felt we were in good hands.

Caroline was due on March 3rd. I reluctantly scheduled an induction for Saturday night. I was so gung-ho on spontaneously going into delivery, but needed and/or wanted to work with everyone's schedule too. So I got the best of both worlds. My water broke on the way to the hospital for the scheduled induction. Long story short, Caroline came in two pushes. My OB almost didn't make it to the delivery. I asked him if he gets a lot of speeding tickets and he said "yes".

She's perfect. A great sleeper and a healthy eater. Emory loves her new sister and is adjusting very well to her new role. Everyday she tells me she loves her baby! Emory is very proud and we are proud of her too!
